Wild Meadow Project at Two Mile Beach
If you enjoy gardening and are interested in helping to create and maintain our new Wild Meadow at the Two Mile Beach Unit of Cape May National Wildlife Refuge, please let us know. We have already begun preparing the ground and have planted native grass seeds and wildflower plugs, but we still have much more to do. There are more grass and wildflower seedlings that need to be planted; and we need to spread a layer of salt hay over everything to help keep it moist and happy. Our goal is to have the seeds sprout and the plants become established before winter. Can we count on your help? If you are interested, please contact the Friends at friendsofcapemayrefuge@gmail.com.
